Senior Consultant

This position requires a highly motivated individual to lead and/or be a key participant on strategic client engagements and other client initiatives. The Senior Consultant must be able to work closely with a diverse set of business customers, product teams, and other stakeholders, to drive strategy, process improvements and increased efficiency. Managing customer expectations, building consensus on issues and meeting deadlines are essential.

Position Responsibilities

The Senior Consultant will function as both an engagement/project manager and key member of consulting engagement teams responsible all aspects of the delivery of projects. As engagement/project manager, s/he will be responsible for seeing a project through to completion. More specifically, s/he must:

� Work effectively with a diverse group of customers including senior management, customer account teams, external vendors and other stakeholders.
� Lead and participate on multiple simultaneous project teams, ranging from Discovery through Implementation, managing various client demands, project deliverables, and points of view.
� Develop new strategies and process enhancements that benefit both our clients and their customers, including customized solutions when appropriate.
� Conduct research and analysis on complex issues and develop creative solutions to problems considering any potential strategic or business constraints.
� Drive change initiatives and lead by example.
� Develop and manage relationships with a broad network of internal and external customers. The position requires a significant amount of relationship building and management of internal and external customers and clients.
� Lead the efforts on drafting briefing materials for internal and external customers.
� Continuously engage with other consultants on professional development.
� Perform other related duties, as necessary.
� Travel (up to 25%) and perform evening/weekend work on an as-needed basis.


Professional Qualifications

� Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience is required.
� A minimum of five to eight years experience in mortgage banking and/or financial services with a thorough understanding of distribution models.
� Demonstrated knowledge of primary and secondary mortgage markets, the mortgage life-cycle, and technology(s) leveraged in the mortgage process required.
� Experience leveraging existing and developing new consulting methodologies, analytical models and/or approaches to solve business problems.
� The ability to develop and defend business cases.
� Strong project management skills.
� Team player and a willingness to consider and agree to alternative approaches.
� Capacity to quickly grasp complex concepts, perform robust analyses, and present recommendations to various audiences.
� Demonstrated experience in public speaking and strong presentation skills.
� Knowledge creating and documenting both business and technical requirements.
� Ability to work with and gain the confidence of executives.
� Strong judgment, leadership, customer service, consensus building, interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) and negotiation skills.
� Expertise using a PC with strong application software skills including MSOffice Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Access) and Visio (process mapping) is required.
� The ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external groups.
� The ability to work independently with little day-to-day supervision.
� The ability to develop other team members.
� Strong strategic thinking and problem solving skills.
� The ability to make sound judgments and use problem solving skills to identify, isolate and resolve problems and issues in a timely fashion.

� The ability to make decisions and recommendations after carefully weighing multiple and sometimes opposing positions while balancing this with corporate and departmental goals and strategies.
� The ability to manage projects to aggressive time frames and to ensure that deadlines are met. This is a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, so flexibility, innovation, and team focus are essential qualities for success.
